10 Rookie Mistakes at Disney World’s Epcot

9 – Skipping Living with the Land

There are some pretty spectacular attractions at Epcot like Test Track, and the new Frozen Ever After ride in the Norway pavilion in the World Showcase. But don’t let these big, new attractions overshadow some really terrific, classic attractions at Epcot. Next time you head to Soarin’ in The Land pavilion don’t forget to ride Living with the Land. It’s a lovely, relaxing boat ride that teaches guests about food production in a fun and interesting way. You will also get to glide through the greenhouses and see hydroponic growing techniques, 9-pound lemons and even some fruits and vegetables in the shape of Mickey! Plus, many of plants and animals you see growing in the land are served at restaurants throughout Disney World.

Lori

Lauren lives in Hamilton Ontario, but dreams of one day moving to Orlando to be closer to the Magic Kingdom. In the meantime, she spends her days working for the family business as a barista and baker, being active in the independent theatre scene in Hamilton and working part-time as a professional personal assistant to a writer. Lauren’s most memorable Disney moment is by far when she became engaged in front of Cinderella’s Castle making it her best Disney vacation to date.
