There are so many delicious restaurants all over property. The table service restaurants at the resorts are often left forgotten by many guests who don’t realize what they could experience at all of the other resorts. We find that the resorts are some of the best meals, and usually aren’t as crowded as many other locations. Here are the 10 best table service restaurants across all of the Disney resorts:
10 – 1900 Park Fare – Grand Floridian
This is one of my favorite character dining experiences. You can’t beat the atmosphere of the Grand Floridian, plus the food is delicious! The restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner server and both are all you care to enjoy served buffet-style. The characters that come could be any combination of characters that include Cinderella and Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine with Anastasia and Drisella, Mary Poppins, Winnie the Pooh, Alice, etc. They are such fun characters and it is a great time for the whole family!
9 – Whispering Canyon Café – Wilderness Lodge
This is one of the craziest restaurants on property. If you have never dined here, you are definitely missing out. You have to ask for ketchup and see what happens! The other great thing about this location is that you order from the menu, but you also have the option at each service to order the all you care to enjoy platter. The food is delicious and there is no way you will leave hungry. This location happens to be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner so you have lots of options to enjoy the antics that occur here.
8 – Cape May Café – Beach Club
This location is open for breakfast and dinner. Both meals are all you care to enjoy served buffet style, so you go and make your own plates. For breakfast you have traditional offerings and more food that you can imagine, plus the addition of some of your favorite characters dressed in their beach attire. Dinner is even more amazing since it is a seafood feast. If you are a seafood fan, you definitely don’t want to miss this one since it has all of your delicious favorites!
7 – Kona Café – Polynesian Village Resort
This is a regular go to for our family. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner services and the food is amazing. At breakfast you have to try the Tonga Toast. It has become a Disney foodie favorite. For lunch and dinner the menu includes Polynesian inspired dishes and a delicious selection of sushi options. It is usually an easy place to get in and out of, which is great when you want a delicious meal in a great atmosphere and then get back to the Disney fun!
6 – Narcossee’s – Grand Floridian
This is a beautiful location since it is out on the water of the Seven Seas Lagoon at the back of the resort. You can see the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom at the location, too, which makes it even more special. This is considered a Disney Signature Dining restaurant so it is a bit on the pricey side, or required 2 dining entitlements if you are on the dining plan. It is delicious though, with amazing seafood options. There is also a brunch offered now instead of just dinner service. This restaurant has a dress code, so don’t forget to dress accordingly.
5 – Jiko – The Cooking Place – Animal Kingdom Lodge
This is definitely an amazing taste of African cuisine. The food is cooked in an on-stage kitchen and is a completely amazing experience. You can even pair your meals with African wines and beers for the ultimate experience. The location is absolutely beautiful, too, as it is nestled in the beautiful Animal Kingdom Lodge. This is a Disney Signature Dining restaurant, so the dress code rules apply. The restaurant is only open for dinner, but does offer a wine and cheese pairing that you can make reservations for.
4 – Yachtsman Steakhouse – Yacht Club
This is the location for one of the most popular steaks on property, as you would expect based on the name of the restaurant! The location is only open for dinner and is also one of Disney’s Signature Dining locations. You have to adhere to the dress code, but this meal is well worth dressing up for a night on the town for. The restaurant is beautiful and you have a wide variety of steak options and cuts to choose from so that you get to have your perfect steak. Everything is absolutely delicious and it is definitely a perfect location for a date night or special occasion.
3 – O’hana – Polynesian Village Resort
O’hana is one of our favorite restaurants in all of Walt Disney World. The restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner service each day. Both meals are all you care to enjoy and are served family style right to the table. “O’hana” does mean “family”, so this is perfect! Breakfast is a delicious skillet filled with breakfast meats, eggs, potatoes, waffles, etc. The juice served with breakfast is absolutely amazing, too! Dinner is an offering a meat skewers that are brought around, along with various sides and appetizers for the table. The dessert is one of the best desserts all over property, so be sure you save room for that. Not only is the food and service amazing, but if your time your reservation right, you can watch the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom right at your table!
2 – California Grill – Contemporary Resort
Who wouldn’t want to dine at the top of the Contemporary? You have the perfect view of the fireworks from the amazing location right next to the Magic Kingdom. The restaurant is amazing with tastes from California. There are delicious sushi options, along with steaks and fresh flavors. You have amazing views while you enjoy a tasty meal. This restaurant is a Disney Signature Dining location, so be sure to remember the dress code before you go. This location also just started a brunch service, so be sure to try this out, especially if you are a sushi fan!
1 – Victoria & Albert’s – Grand Floridian
We couldn’t create this list without adding Victoria & Albert’s! This restaurant is the most expensive and luxurious on property and is an AAA Five Diamond restaurant. To say that this is a true culinary experience would be an understatement. The restaurant is only open for dinner, and the menu is prix fixe that varies nightly. The dress code is formal, so you will make to make sure to pack your formal attire for one of the best meals you can have at Disney World. If you feel like an extra splurge, go for the Chef’s Table. You get special interactions with the chef, a personalized menu and a culinary experience unlike any other. This is definitely one of the most amazing date nights and experiences to have during your stay.
