4 Things You Need to Know about Disney’s Guest Relations

If there is one thing we would have to say is our favorite part about Disney, it would have to be their unmatched customer service. With the goal of meeting all of your needs before, during, and after your visit, Disney’s Guest Relations are responsible for making magic happen. Here are four things you should know about Disney’s Guest Relations.

1 – How May We Help?

Guest Relations provides a plethora of resources! Whether this is your first time to Disney or your 20th, you never know when you will need the guidance of a friendly, helpful Cast Member. Dining reservations, resort room availability and booking, tickets, tours, special programs, accessibility information, theme park maps and time guides, language guide maps, lost guest support, general assistance, and so much more! Chances are if you have a question you need answered, Guest Relations can not only answer your question but guide you on your way to the next step. If they don’t have the answer or support to take care of your needs, they can point you in the right direction to where help may be obtained. If at all possible, they make it happen – with a smile!

2 – On the Map

Guest Relations are available at all four theme parks. Magic Kingdom has two Guest Relations locations: the lobby at City Hall and at the park entrance windows. Animal Kingdom also has two Guest Relations locations: to left as you enter the park and, of course, the park entrance windows. Epcot has three Guest Relations locations: two at the main entrance (park entrance windows and to the left once inside the main entrance) and one location over at the side entrance from the Epcot Resorts path. Hollywood Studios has two Guest Relations locations: at the park entrance window and immediately on the left upon park entrance. Disney Springs also has an excellent Guest Relations building and the Disney Ticket Center in the Town Center. As you can see, there are several locations for you to visit Guest Relations in and around the theme parks and at Disney Springs. Of course, you can also visit Guest Relations located within your Disney Resort for easy convenience!

3 – Just The Right Amount of Pixie Dust

For anyone that has worked in the hospitality industry, you’ve likely experienced this one yourself! Disney Guests may think from time to time that there are no limits at Disney World. Well, of course, we like to think that about Disney – but there may be a time when you will hear, “No, I’m sorry, but we can’t do that.” While this is rare, some folks do ask the impossible. For example, if you are looking for a dinner reservation in the next hour at Be Our Guest during the peak season, you should expect to hear, “Sorry, but there is no availability.” We understand this may be frustrating, but taking that frustration out on the Guest Relations Cast Member really won’t do either of you any good. Folks have booked their dinner reservations 60-days in advance, and there isn’t anything the Cast Member can do to change that. We ask that you be realistic in what you request from Guest Relations. If they can help in any way, they definitely would – but sometimes their hands are tied too. Guest Relations are exceptional; however, at offering alternatives if something you are seeking cannot be fulfilled.

4 – Tips

Depending on your need, there will be times you’ll want to have specific items with you when receiving Guest Relations support. We suggest you keep in mind you may need items such as your driver’s license, confirmation numbers (to resort/dining reservations), and your MagicBands and/or park tickets. Here’s another tip – ask the Guest Relations Cast Member if they have any tip(s) for you about a specific activity you may be asking a question about. For example, maybe you are buying tickets for the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue dinner show for the evening, the Guest Relations Cast Member may have helpful tips about seating suggestions to have the best view of the show!

We are thankful Disney offers such a service as Guest Relations. And even more thankful that they pride themselves on their excellent customer service. In the words of Walt Disney himself, “Whatever you do, do it well. Do it so well that when people see you do it, they will want to come back and see you do it again, and they will want to bring others and show them how well you do what you do.” No wonder Disney is so popular!

Matt & Kim

We have had a long time love affair with Disney. We love the magic and the memories we've made at Walt Disney World! We follow all things Disney and have great experiences with being Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members, and RunDisney participants. From lodging to dining to Genie+ we have a spreadsheet for every occasion. Usually there isn’t a day that passes without some discussion of the master plan of our next trip to the happiest place on earth. Most people think we’re normal – until they travel to Disney with us.
