5 Ways to Pamper Yourself at Disney World

Vacationing at Disney World doesn’t mean you have to fight the crowds, seek air conditioning, or chase after children the entire time. Here are our top 5 ways to pamper yourself at Disney because you deserve it!

1 – La Vida and Ship Shape

Check out La Vida Health Club at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort or Ship Shape at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort for a perfect way to keep yourself relaxed in the midst of shuffling family around. These two locations offer almost identical options in both spa and salon services. Massage packages such as a Swedish Massage and Firm-Pressure Massage are available at these locations. While you’re at it, go ahead and pamper yourself with a rejuvenating citrus facial. Better yet, if you stay at one of these resorts, you can order an in-room massage!! Located right next door to both spas, you will find each has a wonderful full-service hair salon. Casa De Belleza is the salon at Coronado Springs, while Ship Shape Salon is located at the Yacht Club. Haircuts, styling, head massages, color/foil treatments – you can have it all taken care of! Nail services such as manicures, pedicures, and paraffin treatments (our favorite!) are also available. These salons even offer make-up if you are looking for the complete package!

2 – Mandara Spa

Are you looking for an even more tranquil experience? Check out Mandara Spa located at the Swan and Dolphin Resort (Dolphin side). Mandara prides themselves on nurturing the mind and body. What seems like limitless specialty spa rituals are offered at this location! Take a deep breath to get ready for the following list: nourishing wraps, aromatherapy, saunas, hydrotherapy tub soak, reflexology, four-hand massage, numerous massage packages, facials, foot treatment, cheek lifts, cellulite reduction, nail treatment, waxing, make-up, full hair salon services and more! Whether you are looking for the basic spa treatments or something that is completely different than anything you’ve experienced, this is the place to be. We particularly like that Mandara Spa has a variety of selections for women, men, teens, and even safe treatments for mothers-to-be! Prices vary depending on what package(s) you select and how long your selected treatments are scheduled for. It would be easy to make it a full day of pampering! Beware – this Balinese-themed spa may just become your new favorite Disney vacation experience.

3 – Olympiad and Zahanati Spa Services

Just looking for a fantastic massage but don’t need the salon or all the bells and whistles? Check out one of these two locations – Olympiad at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Zahanati at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Stop in for a spa treatment at Olympiad or Zahanati before heading off to a park for the day! The two locations offer similar spa/massage services La Vida and Ship Shape offer. Swedish and Firm-Pressure massages, a facial, and even in-room massages are available for your relaxation needs. Rejuvenate your mind and body, then head to a park for some sweet rejuvenating of your inner child!

4 – Senses

Senses has two locations on Disney property at Saratoga Springs Resort and Grand Floridian Resort. When most people think of spa treatments at Disney, Senses comes to mind because of the two locations and because of their fantastic reviews. Saratoga Springs Senses is inspired by a 19th Century New York-style retreat center. What makes this location special isn’t just the excellent massages, massage enhancements, facials, therapies, wraps, and nail treatments – but the wet relaxation opportunities in their whirlpool treatments. Senses located at Grand Floridian resorts offers many, if not more spa specialties, and is well-liked for its Victorian-themed garden feel. At either of these Senses locations, your little one also has an opportunity to enjoy a Magical Manicure or Princess Manicure. Let’s keep in mind, though – the pampering is really all about you!

5 – Pampering Done Your Way

All of the above are a dream come true experiences for many of us but don’t feel like they are the only way to pamper yourself while vacationing at Disney. We recommend you take advantage of your resort pool and lounging area. Order a drink from the pool bar if available, grab a snack and magazine from the gift shop, and relax while soaking up the sun. Rainy day, no problem! Typically, books and movies are available for rent in your resort amenities center. Enjoy an in-room movie at no extra cost (and maybe you can still pick up the drinks and snacks)!

Be sure to call ahead and make your reservations for any of the Spa locations mentioned above. Simply call Disney’s Spa Line: 407-WDW-SPAS. The only exception to this number would be Mandara Spa, which is technically not located on Disney property at the Swan and Dolphin Resort. For Mandara Spa, call 407-934-4772. We also recommend that you check out this helpful website (https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/spas/) to view the many packages available at these locations, as well as pricing lists. Remember, you are on vacation! So enjoy, pamper, and treat yourself to one or more of these calming experiences.

We have had a long time love affair with Disney. We love the magic and the memories we've made at Walt Disney World! We follow all things Disney and have great experiences with being Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members, and RunDisney participants. From lodging to dining to Genie+ we have a spreadsheet for every occasion. Usually there isn’t a day that passes without some discussion of the master plan of our next trip to the happiest place on earth. Most people think we’re normal – until they travel to Disney with us.
