9 Best Disney World Souvenirs for Tweens and Teens

As if raising a tween or teen isn’t tricky enough – sometimes you are faced with trying to figure out what to buy them as souvenirs while visiting Disney. Here is our list of the nine best Disney souvenirs for tween and teens.

1 – Trendy Clothing

Tweens and Teens never seem to have enough clothing. We’re sure you’ve heard – “But I don’t have anything to wear!” from the teenage girls in your family or maybe “nothing is clean!” from the guys. Don’t fret! Purchase them a souvenir that they will fall in love with. Maybe your teenager likes the princesses but doesn’t want to look like a child anymore; Disney Springs Co-Op Marketplace has trendy merchandise with hints of Disney princesses and more but with a style that doesn’t say childish! D-Style is a big name right now at Disney that seems to gear its merchandise toward the tween/teenage market.

2 – Anything Star Wars

If your teenager is into Star Wars and wants to rock out some Kilo Ren gear, you’ll want to check out gift shops throughout the parks, but especially at Hollywood Studios and Disney Springs. Plus, did you know that there is a BB-8 App-Enabled Droid? This baby is like our old school remote-controlled cars, but Star Wars, and is controlled by an app on your phone! What teen wouldn’t love to show this one off to their friends? Just about anything you can dream of buying your teen has a Star Wars option to select from at Disney!

3 – Tech Accessories

Of course! You can’t go wrong with tech accessories for your tween/teen. They are likely on the phone all the time anyway, so you know they’ll love tech accessory souvenirs! A personalized phone case, phone carry case, Disney-themed USB drive, iPad case… the options seem limitless! Plus, don’t forget about personalized MagicBands and MagicBand accessories. Disney Springs has some great selections, as does Magic Kingdom, in the gift shop just outside of Space Mountain.

4 – Vinylmation / Lego Figurines

These little Vinylmation collectibles are unique in their own way. Your tween/teen will enjoy collecting these Mickey-shaped figurines with artwork in a variety of selections. Let them select one or more, or pick up their favorite characters or cool designs. Plus, have you seen the latest with the Disney-themed Lego people?! We don’t care how old you are – those things are cool! Your tween/teen just might enjoy starting a new, awesome collection!

5 – For the Ladies

Ok, we have to get specific here and key in on the young ladies out there! Jewelry, bags, totes – you can’t go wrong. It’s crazy awesome at the variety of patterns available in the bags and totes selections. You can either pick something with a designer name or go with a standard Mickey pattern. Trendy bags and totes seem to be everywhere at Disney. Plus, jewelry must be mentioned! Particularly, the line available at Disney called Cherry Lane really draws the attention of the young tweens/teens gals. There is an excellent selection of jewelry just about anywhere you go, but once again, Disney Springs has some incredible shops with unique bling!

6 – The Basics

Don’t overestimate the basic souvenir! By that, we mean your tween/teen is technically still a child. Just like us young at heart adults, some things we just never grow out of. Don’t forget about a pair of Mickey Ears. There are so many options to select from now that your tween/teen will surely find something they would like to sport around Disney World. Plus, as basic as it seems, you can never go wrong with food when it comes to teenagers! If you don’t have the tween/teen you are shopping for with you to pick something out, tasty bagged goodies are always a safe and excellent souvenir option.

7 – All About Walt and Disney’s Imagineers

Do you have one of those tweens or teens that has already become a little history buff? Or maybe they have dreams to one day be a Disney Imagineer? On Disney property, you’ll find different selections of books about Walt Disney himself, about animation, or about the building of the theme parks. Go ahead and let the creative side out! Don’t forget to pick up a Disney journal to start writing down all of those awesome ideas you have to make Disney even more magical one day.

8 – Creepy Stuff!

Strange topic, we know – but hear us out! We aren’t exactly sure what it is, but some tweens and teens seem to have a love for all things creepy! You’d think at Disney World, you would have a hard time finding some uniquely creepy souvenirs but think again. There are tons of items that feature the Nightmare Before Christmas, Tower of Terror, and the Haunted Mansion. Particularly if you are looking for Tower of Terror items, you’ll want to browse the gift shop as you exit the attraction. The same goes for Haunted Mansion at the gift shop nearby called Memento Mori. We get chills just thinking about it!

9 – An Experience

Lastly, but probably our favorite, would have to be an experience like no other. Maybe your tween/teen mentioned something they would like to do when you first were talking about your trip? Focus on those little points and surprise them with an experience they’ll never forget. It could be a visit to one of Disney’s water parks, an Aerophile experience at Disney Springs, or water recreation/sports at the Contemporary. Make this adventurous souvenir a memorable one!

There are so many exceptional items it’s hard only to pick 9! What are your tween’s or teen’s favorite Disney souvenirs?

From lodging to dining to Genie+ we have a spreadsheet for every occasion. Usually there isn’t a day that passes without some discussion of the master plan of our next trip to the happiest place on earth. Most people think we’re normal – until they travel to Disney with us.
