The Best Disney Vacation Club Resorts at Disney World

Disney Vacation Club, or better known as DVC, properties are amazing!  Most of them are a separate section of existing resorts so that you get to take advantage of all of the resort amenities and your DVC perks and amenities at the same time.  There are several DVC properties at Walt Disney World, along with various locations around the other parks and vacation areas.  Here are our top 6 picks at Walt Disney World:

6 – Wilderness Lodge Villas

Wilderness Lodge is an extremely popular resort.  The resort is known for its beauty, tranquility and perfect Pacific Northwest theme.  The resort is in the Magic Kingdom resort area and is only a boat ride away from the entrance to the Magic Kingdom along with the other Magic Kingdom resorts in the area.  The resort already has a ton of amazing restaurant options, but with the proximity to the other Magic Kingdom resorts, it opens you up to tons of additional restaurant options.  The DVC villas at the resort are in close proximity to all of the amenities and restaurants.  It is also the home of the Carolwood Pacific Railroad room where trains from Walt Disney’s personal collection are on display along with various games and activities to enjoy the space with your family.  The entire resort is surrounded by peaceful surroundings making it a true getaway in the middle of all the activity and magic!

5 – Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas

This is one of the most unique resorts on property.  Who wouldn’t love being surrounding by amazing animals that are native to the African savanna?  You have giraffes, zebras, antelope and various other species that are wandering the grounds.  You can view them from the lobby, dining locations or even your resort room if you opt for one of the savanna view rooms.  There are tons of other amazing animal encounters and learning opportunities that happen at the resort daily.  The resort is also in close proximity to Animal Kingdom so you can continue your animal fun just a short bus ride away.  The food at the resort is amazing and some of the most unique experiences on property.  The resort really does have it all!

4 – Bay Lake Tower

Have you wondered what the tall tower next to the Contemporary Resort in the middle of Bay Lake might be?  That is the Bay Lake Tower!  All of the rooms in the resort are DVC villas.  The resort has a skywalk that connects to the Contemporary Resort so that guests can access all of the amenities, restaurants and transportation at the resort.  It is like two resorts within one, since Bay Lake Tower has its own pool and amenities only for Bay Lake guests.  You can expect some of the most amazing views when you stay here, too.  From your resort room, you can have amazing views of the Magic Kingdom or you could have views of the beautiful Bay Lake.  You feel like you are immersed in the Disney magic the entire time!

3 – Grand Floridian Villas

There is something extra magical and luxurious about staying at the Grand Floridian.  The villas at the Grand Floridian are just as luxurious.  Not only that, you have access to all of the amazing dining options, spa services, salon, shopping and more.  There are so many activities and amenities at the resort that it could keep you busy for days.  The resort is also extremely close to the Magic Kingdom and the other Magic Kingdom area resorts, so you can enjoy their amenities, too! Don’t forget to bring your fine dress clothes as there are tons of signature dining experiences to enjoy including the very famous Victoria and Albert’s.  If you are looking for luxury and prestige, this is definitely the place for you!

2 – Beach Club Villas

The location at the Beach Club is especially great given the close proximity to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the World Showcase entrance to Epcot.  Both of these are just a boat ride away.  Not only that, you are a boat ride away from the Boardwalk where there are a ton of dining and entertainment options plus fun night life.  Even better, there are a ton of amenities and great restaurants right at the resort, too!  Plus, this resort has the most popular and desired pool on all of Walt Disney World property.  The pool seriously is almost like its own little water park right there at the resort.  Everything about the resort is perfection and a fun, inviting beach theme with everything that you need right there are your fingertips.

1 – Polynesian Village Villas & Bungalows

From the moment that you arrive at the resort, you are in complete paradise.  The villas are amazing and are among the roomiest, especially for Studio options.  The resort is a great location to be close to everything.  You are a walk away from the Epcot monorail, a quick boat or monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom.  You also have access to all of the other Magic Kingdom area resorts to enjoy, too.  The pool is absolutely amazing with a huge volcano slide, kids’ water play area and a view of Cinderella’s Castle from the pool.  One of the most amazing stays you can have while on property is to stay at the bungalows.  These unique accommodations are owned by DVC, so DVC members have the first crack at them.  They are out on the water facing the Magic Kingdom, so you get amazing views of the fireworks.  You have your own private plunge pool and luxurious features in the rooms.  This is definitely a dream stay for so many Disney nuts that if you have the opportunity and budget then you definitely have to stay here!

Kristin

Hi! I’m Kristin, and I am a wife and mother of 2 young boys (ages 5 and 2). I first fell in love with Disney when my mom took me when I was a child. After that I proceeded to go to WDW for my senior trip with my friends, and I completed a year in the Disney College Program (working in merchandise at Mickey’s of Hollywood at Disney’s Hollywood Studios). I shared my love of Disney with my now husband and sucked him in. We vacationed at Walt Disney World 2-3 times per year. We decided that what maked more sense was just moving to Orlando so that we could live the Disney life and be here for all of our favorite events and seasons every year. That is exactly what we did! Now we are at the parks a couple times a week and go for most events and major holidays. We can’t get enough and get to experience Disney in a whole different way.
