9 – What is the World Showcase?

The World Showcase is a collection of 11 amazing countries from around the world. You get a little dose of what it might be like to travel to these countries right from Walt Disney World. The World Showcase if part of Epcot and is included in regular admission.  You can go back and forth between Future World and World Showcase as much as you like. For those of you who keep an eye on your Fitbit and how many steps you get it in, you will be pleased to know that if you walk just the walkway around the entire World Showcase you will end up walking about 1.25 miles.  If you meander through the pavilions to look at the shops and various attractions in each country, then you will earn even more steps for your tracker.  This will help to negate all the food, snacks and drinks that you will definitely want to sample while on your journey!

Hi! I’m Kristin, and I am a wife and mother of 2 young boys (ages 5 and 2). I first fell in love with Disney when my mom took me when I was a child. After that I proceeded to go to WDW for my senior trip with my friends, and I completed a year in the Disney College Program (working in merchandise at Mickey’s of Hollywood at Disney’s Hollywood Studios). I shared my love of Disney with my now husband and sucked him in. We vacationed at Walt Disney World 2-3 times per year. We decided that what maked more sense was just moving to Orlando so that we could live the Disney life and be here for all of our favorite events and seasons every year. That is exactly what we did! Now we are at the parks a couple times a week and go for most events and major holidays. We can’t get enough and get to experience Disney in a whole different way.
