The 7 Best Pizzas at Disney World

What makes a good pizza has as many different answers as there are people who love pizza. For some, pizza is all about the crust. Others want the perfect toppings. The sauce is another variable of what makes the perfect pizza. Whether you prefer thin-crust or want it thick, you’re sure to find a delicious pie at Walt Disney World!

One word of warning. If a quick-service restaurant has on the menu “pizza with a side”, it might not be the best. Those pizzas are usually individual, round, and mass-produced. That’s why you won’t find a place like PizzeRizzo on this list, there are much better choices. The pizzas listed here are fresh and perfect for pizza lovers of all ages. Here are the seven best pizzas that you’ll find at Walt Disney World.

7 – Build Your Own Pizza, Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza, Disney Springs

Blaze may not be the tastiest pizza that you’ll ever enjoy, but it’s not bad either. Blaze is fast, and the build your own option will allow you to create it your way. You’ll pick your sauce and toppings, and then your pizza will be ready before you know it. Add as many toppings as you want, the cost is the same. Part of the reason why Blaze makes this list is because it is allergy-friendly. Dairy-free cheese is available, and there is a gluten-free crust for an additional charge. The workers will even change gloves to avoid cross-contamination.

6 – Pepperoni Pizza, Pizza Window, Disney’s BoardWalk

Sometimes you just want to grab a familiar bite to eat before heading back to your room. If you’re staying along Crescent Lake in the EPCOT Resort Area, Pizza Window is the perfect solution. You can order pizza by the slice or grab a whole pie. If you aren’t in the mood for pepperoni, you can instead get Sausage and Mushroom, Veggie, or Cheese. Beer, wine, and fountain beverages are sold to wash your pizza down.

5 – Margherita Flatbread, Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano, Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Is it an appetizer, or is it a meal? The Margherita Flatbread at Mama Melrose’s could be categorized either way. It’s on the appetizer menu, but it’s filling enough that you could skip the entree. Being a flatbread, the crust is thin and crispy, and there is just the right amount of tomato sauce and mozzarella. The sauce is made in-house and the freshness shows. If you are vegan or don’t eat dairy, you can request dairy-free cheese. That’s still a delicious option, it’s just not as melty as the dairy version.

4 – BBQ Chicken Pizza, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill, Disney Springs

Celebrity Chef Wolfgang Puck is known for his creative take on classic foods, and his pizza is something that you don’t want to miss! The BBQ Chicken Pizza features onions, roasted corn, cilantro, bacon, and jalapeño! That isn’t the only imaginative pizza that you’ll find at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill. There is also a Wild Mushroom Pizza, Fennel Sausage Pizza, and Smoked Salmon Pizza.

3 – Quattro Formaggi Pizza, Il Mulino, Walt Disney World Swan Hotel

Il Mulino is a great choice if you want authentic Italian food in a restaurant that not everyone knows about. The Swan is a short walk or Friendship ride from EPCOT, and a longer walk or ride from Disney’s Hollywood Studios. All of the pizzas are delicious, but for something different, try the Quattro Formaggi. It features Fontina Cheese, Pecorino Romano Cheese, Mozzarella Cheese with an Herbed Ricotta, Topped with Marinated Artichoke, Roasted Garlic, and Arugula. The original Il Mulino is considered one of the best Italian restaurants in New York City. The Walt Disney World Swan version is known for the same quality.

2 – San Gennaro Pizza, Pizza Ponte, Disney Springs

If you like a little heat with your pizza, then the San Gennaro may be for you! It’s covered with sweet sausage and onions, plus tomato sauce and two types of cheese. It’s hot cherry peppers that add the fire to this creation. At Pizza Ponte you will order by the slice, but don’t let that fool you. The slices are huge! Other types of pizza include Pepperoni, Funghi (forest mushroom), and Four Cheese. Pizza Ponte’s signature slice is called the Big Roman, and when they say “big” they mean it! Pizza Ponte is located next to Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante, and it shares the same theming.

1 – Margherita Pizze Classiche, Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria, EPCOT

Traditional Neapolitan pizza is what you’ll find at Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria. In fact, it’s as authentic as you’ll find in Florida! The flour and tomatoes are imported, and the water is from a spring that is close to the water from a spring in Italy’s Campania region. The crust is thin and handcrafted, and your pizza will be baked in a wood oven that is named after one of Italy’s active volcanos. We recommend the Margherita because of its simplicity; tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, and basil. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any pizza from Via Napoli. Reservations are highly recommended. Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria serves not only what many consider to be the best pizza at Walt Disney World, but also the best pizza in Florida.
