Ultimate Character Checklist: 7 Places to Meet Donald Duck at Disney World

We’re not sure if it’s his hard to understand duck voice, his big yellow duck feet, or our ability to relate to his temperamental meltdowns… but Donald Duck truly is #1 in our opinion! He may sit ever so impatiently in the shadow of Mickey Mouse, but Donald has without a doubt made a name for himself and has a huge fan base cheering him on.

If you’re seeking out that memorable moment with Donald Duck, check out these 7 places to meet him – each one with different attire for that unforgettable photo and autograph. Keep in mind that character meet and greets do change regularly at Disney World, so you’ll want to be sure to check your My Disney Experience App and/or Times Guide to ensure Donald is still in one of the locations below and at the appropriate time when you are visiting. We wouldn’t want you storming out angrily as Donald would if he expected something that wasn’t there! Finally, be sure to keep an eye out for him as he may just pop up in random locations throughout the parks.

7 – Seasonal Donald

• Location: Hollywood Studios – Hollywood and Vine Restaurant
• Costume: Match Seasonal Theme – Springtime, Summertime, Halloween, and Christmas Gear
• Environment: Indoor
• Dining/FastPass+: Dining Required
• Times:Lunch (11:20a – 3p) and Dinner (3:20p – 8p)
• Typically Joined by: Minnie, Mickey, Daisy, and Goofy
• Extras: Make a reservation for Hollywood & Vine 180-days in advance as it does fill up. Disney Junior characters are available during breakfast here.

6 – Sombrero Donald

• Location: Epcot – World Showcase’s Mexico Pavilion
• Costume: Colorful Sombrero and Poncho
• Environment: Outdoor
• Dining/FastPass+: No Dining or FastPass available
• Times:Schedule changes but usually available 12p to 2:45p and 3:30p to 7:15p
• Typically Joined by: Solo meet and greet
• Extras: While Donald is under some shade if it rains, he does not stay outside.

5 – Safari Donald

• Location: Animal Kingdom – Tusker House Restaurant
• Costume: Safari Gear with vest and hat
• Environment: Indoor
• Dining/FastPass+: Dining Required
• Times:Breakfast (8p – 10:55a), Lunch (11a – 3:30p), and Dinner (3:35p – 8:30p)
• Typically Joined by: Mickey, Goofy, and Daisy Duck
• Extras: Make a reservation for Tusker House 180-days in advance as it does fill up fast!

4 – DinoLand Donald

• Location: Animal Kingdom – DinoLand, U.S.A.
• Costume: Colorful wear with dinosaur prints, sash, and feathered hat
• Environment: Outdoor
• Dining/FastPass+: No Dining or FastPass available
• Times:Between 10a – 5:30p
• Typically Joined by: Solo meet and greet but Daisy Duck, Goofy, Pluto, Launchpad McQuack, Scrooge McDuck, and Chip and Dale are in queues close by for the Dino-Bash Celebration.
• Extras: Don’t forget to enjoy Donald’s Dino-Bash Cupcake at Restaurantosaurus!

3 – Chef Donald

• Location: Contemporary Resort – Chef Mickey’s
• Costume: Chef hat, white chef coat, and checkered apron
• Environment: Indoor
• Dining/FastPass+: Dining Required
• Times:Breakfast (7a – 11:15a), Brunch (11:30a – 2:30p), and Dinner (5p – 9:30p)
• Typically Joined by: Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Pluto
• Extras: Make a reservation for Chef Mickey’s 180-days in advance as it does fill up very fast.

2 – Beach Donald

• Location: Beach Club Resort – Cape May Cafe
• Costume: Bright beach/nautical attire
• Environment: Indoor
• Dining/FastPass+: Dining Required
• Times: Breakfast (7:30 am – 11 am)
• Typically Joined by: Minnie, Goofy, and Daisy
• Extras: Characters are only available at Cape May Café during breakfast.

1 – Astounding Donaldo

• Location: Magic Kingdom – Pete’s Silly Sideshow in Fantastyland
• Costume: Vibrant Circus finest with top and hat
• Environment: Indoor
• Dining/FastPass+: No Dining or FastPass available
• Times: Schedule changes but usually available 10a to 7:30p
• Typically Joined by: The Great Goofini (Minnie Magnifique & Madame Daisy Fortuna are in a separate queue.)
• Extras: Great merchandise and bakery items in Big Top Souvenirs as you exit your character experience.
