@ Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue

Let’s kick off the list with a classic favorite… Strawberry Shortcake! Adventure over to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, where you’ll find a hootenanny of a dinner show called the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. Clap and smile along as entertaining performers dance, sing, and tell silly stories while on stage. The food here is downright delicious with limitless ribs, chicken, mashed potatoes, cornbread, and much more. Be sure to save room for the Strawberry Shortcake! Your dessert isn’t just placed in front of you but marched out in a fun way by the servers. Once the Strawberry Shortcake makes it to the table, you’ll be ready to dive into the moist shortcake with sweet strawberries and strawberry sauce sandwiched in between the cake. It’s topped off with whipped cream and a strawberry. Let’s just say this isn’t your ordinary strawberry shortcake!

9 – All-You-Care-To-Enjoy Shakes

@ Whispering Canyon Café

You know when something is served in a mason jar, it’s going to be good! Whispering Canyon Café, located in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort, is the place to be if you’re looking to enjoy an all-you-care-to-enjoy skillet style meal. As if these aren’t filling enough, you’ll want to add the all-you-care-to-enjoy shake! The key here is to have your dessert FIRST! Yep, order your shake first, when you sit down at your table. This way, you’ll have room to sip away on the creamy ice cream right from the start. Pick from four flavors, including chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and caramel.

8 – Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake

@ Liberty Tree Tavern

It’s Ooey… It’s Gooey… it’s Toffee Cake! Magic Kingdom is home to a delightful table service restaurant, boasting a New England-inspired cuisine, called Liberty Tree Tavern. Magic Kingdom guests will want to be sure to make a reservation at this restaurant for a chance to taste the memorable Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake! The “toffee cake” is actually very similar to a cookie with a crunchy, baked outside and “ooey gooey” center. This “cake” is topped with a mound of vanilla ice cream, chocolate and toffee chips, and a drizzle of chocolate and toffee sauces. The Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake is one dessert we are totally fine with blowing our diets for!

7 – Super Nova Shakes

@ Planet Hollywood

MY. GOOFY! Who’s ready for the dessert rush of a lifetime? Well, if you’re looking for something different, something sweet, and something big – drop by Planet Hollywood in Disney Springs. Here you’ll find three Super Nova Shakes that are loaded with yes, ice cream… but it doesn’t stop there. The Strawberry Big Bang has a refreshing strawberry flavor of ice cream then is topped with a slice of birthday-style cake and a long lollipop. The Chocolate Comet is a chocolate lovers dream come true with chocolate ice cream and large chocolate candy bars peeking out. Then there’s the Cosmic Cotton Candy with a blue cotton candy flavor ice cream topped with actual cotton candy and a massive lollipop. For each of these shakes, the party continues outside of the cup with hardened chocolate acting as a glue to hold onto candies and goodies of all sorts.

6 – Grapefruit Cake

@ Hollywood Brown Derby

This is one of the most delectable desserts on the list! The Hollywood Brown Derby, located in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, is well known for its original Grapefruit Cake. It’s as delicious as it is charming in appearance! You’ll easily slide your fork into the layers of soft vanilla sponge cake, grapefruit cheesecake, and grapefruit jam. Each bite has a burst of refreshing grapefruit, but in a subtle way, so you won’t be left with that grapefruit pucker. This is a dessert made for Hollywood!

5 – Zebra Domes

@ Boma – Flavors of Africa

Boma – Flavors of Africa, located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, has a dessert that is unique in taste and sight. “Zebra” and “Dome” are the two words you’ll want to remember when you begin to search the buffet at Boma. Thankfully they are easy little devils to spot. They are just like the name says… in the shape of a dome and have zebra style stripes. The white dome is an Amarula Cream Liquor mousse and creamy white chocolate. It sits upon a thin crispy cake base and is then topped off with a chocolate drizzle and chocolate shavings. They are small desserts that pack a punch of rich and creamy goodness! You won’t be able to stop after just one, so be sure to put a few on your plate.

4 – Bread Pudding à la mode

@ ‘Ohana

No table-service dessert list is complete without this classic! Located inside Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is the beloved ‘Ohana restaurant. The food here is AMAZING, to say the least, and comes in bountiful supply. If the atmosphere and food don’t have you coming back for more, the Bread Puddling definitely will! The super moist and warm bread pudding easily falls apart on the plate when you dive in. It is served “à la mode” so get ready to watch the vanilla ice cream melt down the side of the pudding. To make it even more desirable, they top it off with a caramel sauce and bananas. YUM!

3 – The Kitchen Sink

@ Beaches & Cream Soda Shop

Bring a friend (or three!) with you to Disney’s Beach Club Resort to have a fantastic meal at Beaches and Cream Soda Shop. This old-fashioned soda shop is bright will light beachy blues and pinks amidst the booths, tables, and bar tops. The jukebox sets the tone! After your classic burger and fries, go big or go home with The Kitchen Sink. The Kitchen Sink isn’t for the faint of heart as it’s a LOT (really, a LOT) of ice cream all at once. This is why it’s recommended for a group of four! Scoops of vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, cookies and cream, and mint chocolate chips are headed your way. What’s ice cream without some toppings? Well, Beaches & Cream will pile on every topping they have! When it is on the way to the table, an alarm goes off in the restaurant, and a big deal is made that you are about to divulge in The Kitchen Sink. Spoons up – you’ve got this!

2 – Lollipop Tree

@ The Edison

We’ve learned from our parents that money doesn’t grow on trees, but Mom and Dad, at The Edison in Disney Springs, apparently lollipops do! This is an incredible dessert that is as interesting as it is good. The server brings out what looks like a tree that has holes holding several cake pops. It’s a fun way to display dessert! One by one, nibble on a cheesecake pop. If you’d like to try something new, dip your cake pop in the bubblegum whipped cream that comes with the tree. This is a fun and super tasty dessert, especially for those who aren’t looking for something over the top in richness. Nibble away!

1 – The Toledo Tapas Bar

@ Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood

Hello beautiful! Elegance is the name. Taste is perfection. And that is all. Ok, well, we should give you a little more than that we suppose. Toledo, located at the top of the Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs, is hitting a high note with their Toledo Tapas Bar dessert. Imagine a masterpiece of a plate where what is known as a “progressive dessert” awaits. The “bar” portion of the dessert is chocolate with a creamy yet crispy two layers. The real show is what sits on top of the bar. In colorful and very distinct sections, you’ll find flavors, including Spanish coffee, crunchy chocolate, raspberry mousse, and lemon curd. None of these flavors sound incredibly great all at one time, right? Well, the point of this dessert is to take your time tasting each level in a “progressive” form. This is THE dessert to have!

It’s so hard to stop at only 10 desserts, but our belts at tightening at just the thought of these so we better stop! Which table service restaurant dessert is your favorite?

We have been married for 13 years and are blessed with two children - our 8-year-old daughter and soon to be 2-year-old son. As a family we thoroughly enjoy the magic and the memories at Walt Disney World and are here to help others experience the magic as well.
