Top 7 Magic Kingdom Attractions to Hit During Morning Extra Magic Hours

One of the most popular theme parks in Walt Disney World is the Magic Kingdom, home to many different lands filled with fantasy, adventure, entertainment, and attractions. Of the four theme parks in Walt Disney World, the Magic Kingdom is home to the highest number of attractions ranging from classic to thrilling.

With so many different attractions to experience, guests are smart to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours to make the most of their time in the park. Extra Magic Hours are a perk available only to guests who stay at a Walt Disney World Resort and feature one park opening an hour early each morning and a different park staying open up to three hours later each night. Extra Magic Hours are ideal times to visit the theme parks since there are fewer crowds and lower wait times. Making it much easier to experience more attractions in a small amount of time. 1 – Peter Pan’s Flight

Fantasyland is home to an attraction that brings guests directly to the skies of London and Neverland with Peter Pan and the Darling children. Guests enter into Peter Pan’s Flight through the Darling’s house and are sprinkled with pixie dust before boarding pirate ships. The attraction then takes guests on a beautiful tour of familiar places from the film including London, the Mermaid Lagoon, the Indian Village, and Captain Hook’s ship. Guests love Peter Pan’s Flight, and it often features very long wait times, making it a great experience to enjoy during morning Extra Magic Hours.

2 – Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

This very popular attraction in Fantasyland, the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, invites guests to step into scenes from the Disney animated classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train takes guests into the mines where the dwarfs work each day gathering precious gems and whisks them around the mountain on gently swaying mine carts. Guests can enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding areas as well as singing along with the dwarfs as the workday ends in the mines. Since the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is crazy popular, it often has substantial wait times, making it a perfect attraction to visit during Extra Magic Hours.





 

3 – Princess Fairytale Hall

Also found in Fantasyland is Princess Fairytale Hall which invites guests to feel like royalty as they meet their favorite Disney Princesses. The attraction is broken down into two different sides, one of which features Cinderella and Elena and a second which usually features Rapunzel and Tianna. Guests who have their hearts set on meeting the Disney Princesses should definitely make it a priority to visit Princess Fairytale Hall during morning Extra Magic Hours to save themselves lots of time.

4 – Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid

Guests who are fans of Ariel and the Disney classic animated film The Little Mermaid will love entering into Prince Eric’s Castle for a retelling of the classic tale. Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid has guests board large pink clamshells and move through various scenes of the film to enjoy moments like “Kiss the Girl” and Ariel’s wedding first hand. With plenty of memorable songs, characters, and beautifully themed scenes, guests love visiting this attraction!

5 – The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

Guests who are looking to enjoy a blustery day in the 100 Acre Wood can head to The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh in Fantasyland for a wonderful attraction. Once in the loading area, guests hop aboard hunny pots and soon find themselves directly in an A.A. Milne story passing by characters like Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Owl, and Rabbit. With fun moments like bouncing with Tigger and running from Heffalumps and Woozles, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is a favorite attraction of many making it a great stop during the morning Extra Magic Hours.

6 – Space Mountain

One of the most thrilling experiences in the Magic Kingdom can be found in Tomorrowland dominating the skyline in a massive, futuristic white building. Space Mountain brings guests to the intergalactic spaceport Starport 75 where they strap into rockets and soon find themselves launching into space for an out of this world adventure! Guests who are brave enough for space travel can whiz past stars, astronauts, and other rockets before safely landing back on Earth. Space Mountain is extremely popular with guests and always has a long wait time on busy days in the Magic Kingdom. 7 – Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin

Also found in Tomorrowland is an attraction that gives guests the chance to join Star Command and become Galactic Heroes. Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin brings guests to Star Command headquarters where a strike against the Evil Emperor Zug is taking place. Guests soon find themselves equipped with laser cannons and shooting at targets to collect power from Zurg and rack up points. At the end of the attraction, guests can consult a scoreboard to see where they are in the Star Command ranks. Since guests can aim at new targets and have different scores each time, many return time and time again to Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin making it a popular attraction.
