1 – After Two Year Absence Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party to Return in 2022

One of the biggest questions on the minds of Walt Disney World fans this year has been whether or not Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party would return. The last time the party was offered was in 2019. In 2020 no party was offered, and in 2021, a limited-capacity event called Disney After Hours Boo Bash took place. So many wondered, including us, which event would return – Boo Bash or Mickey’s Not So Scary? This week we learned the answer: Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is returning in all of its former glory as well as with some incredible new offerings. 6 – Expansion at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Opening Soon

Any Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa fans out there? If you’ve ever dreamt of becoming a Disney Vacation Club owner at this resort, new room sales are open to members and the public. The new rooms are expected to open near the end of June 2022. Disney Cast Member Heather Hunter shares more below:

It is easy to understand why The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has long been a favorite resort of Disney Vacation Club Members. The Victorian charm and elegance, easy access to the magic of Walt Disney World Resort via monorail, motorcoach and water taxi services and a chance to catch a glimpse of fireworks bursting above Cinderella Castle are just some of the features that make a visit truly magical.

For all these reasons and more, I am excited to share that Disney Vacation Club Members and the public have a new opportunity to call this resort home. An expansion of The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa including approximately 200 proposed resort studios, a Disney Vacation Club room type unique to this resort, scheduled to open in June 2022. The new villas are on sale now to members and the public.

The new resort studio accommodations will feature two queen-size beds and a day bed with room for up to five guests. If more space is needed for your friends and family, rest assured there is a room for every type of traveler at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. In addition to the new accommodations, The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa also feature elegant and newly enhanced deluxe studios, one- and two-bedroom villas, and spacious three-bedroom grand villas.

Disney Vacation Club villas feature charming accents including Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Victorian-themed silhouettes and other artwork featuring Mary Poppins and Dumbo. Most accommodations feature a porch or balcony where guests can relax and take in the magical Disney scenery that surrounds them.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa sits on the shores of Seven Seas Lagoon just a scenic stroll from the Magic Kingdom Park in the heart of the magic. At the resort, families also enjoy relaxing and entertaining activities nearby, such as watercraft rentals, a sports court with a half basketball court, and swimming at the Courtyard Pool or the Alice In Wonderland-themed water play area and great dining.

Chad & Cindy Nykamp

After years of multiple Walt Disney World vacations, Cindy and Chad's dream of living in Orlando came true in 2010. After friends and family made them their go-to-people for Walt Disney World advice, Cindy and Chad launched DisneyLists.com in August 2015 to share their knowledge and love of Disney. Chad and Cindy have been Disney World Annual Passholders for years, DVC members, together have raced more than 70 runDisney races, and particularly love cruising on the Disney Cruise Line. Chad and Cindy also regularly represent DisneyLists.com at Walt Disney World media events. While attending these events, they get an insiders view of all the new things that have come to Walt Disney World. These experiences have helped them gain knowledge and expertise they happily pass on to their followers. They still can't believe how lucky they are to have such an amazing opportunity and will continue to share Disney with anyone who will listen!
