Pizza Ponte at Disney Springs: 8 Things to Know

We had you at pizza, didn’t we? We, too, can’t resist the thought of authentic Italian pizza. Well, as if Disney Springs doesn’t have enough fantastic eateries to add to your must-try, Disney foodie list… here’s another one you’ll want to take note of. Get those taste buds ready for an Italian treat as we share eight things you’ll want to know about Pizza Ponte.

1 – Part of the Patina Foursome

The Patina Restaurant Group is making a statement in Disney Springs with four excellent dining choices, including Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante, Enzo’s Hideaway Tunnel Bar, The Edison, and of course – Pizza Ponte. Each of these four restaurants has a unique experience and menu to offer, leaving guests satisfied with multiple options. Pizza Ponte opened in late 2017 right along with its sister restaurant, Maria & Enzo’s. While Maria and Enzo’s is a table-service restaurant, Pizza Ponte is quick-service featuring easy grab and go food.

2 – “Ponte” Location

“Ponte” in Italian means bridge. This is your first clue to finding Pizza Ponte, located in Disney Springs’ Landing area. As you cross over the bridge from the West Side into The Landing, you’ll spot Pizza Ponte located directly under the Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante sign on the left side as you come off the bridge. There is a small Pizzeria neon letter sign at the entrance and menus displayed outside. Pizza Ponte conveniently connects with Maria and Enzo’s between the small merchandise shop. It’s easy to miss if you don’t know to look for the Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante sign.

3 – Simple Set-Up

The atmosphere is simple, clean, and offers a story. The restaurant next door, Maria & Enzo’s, is themed as if it’s in a 1930’s airport terminal transformed into a restaurant. That airport terminal theme flows into Pizza Ponte as well. There is a touch of that homey feeling as you see multiple black and white family photos on the wall featuring the Italian couple – Maria and Enzo. The indoor seating isn’t too large with low bar stools that pull up to square tables. If it’s a nice day, you can also eat at the outdoor tables located on the left and right of the entrance. Some of the outdoor tables are located under shade/rain cover, which is nice. We must not forget to mention the Cast Members working behind the display case of yummy food. They were extremely knowledgeable, patient, and even wore outfits, including black and white stripe shirts and Italian hats, to match the restaurant vibe.

4 – Pizza by the Slice!

Lunch, dinner, and late-night dining run from 12 pm to 9 pm at Pizza Ponte. The food is displayed in what looks like a cafeteria-style display case – much like what you’d see in an airport terminal and is ordered in the same way. What’s behind those windows is where the magic is at! The eyes first go to their many Sicilian-style pizzas. There are so many types of pizzas to try! The great news is all pizzas come by the slice, so go ahead and try a couple. Most of the pizzas, including Big Roman, Funghi, Parma Cotto, Four-Cheese, and San Gennaro, are cut into large square pieces. This is the kind of sliced pizza that you must fold to eat (which we happily did!).

5 – Sandwiches and More

Even though pizza is the star here… if you want something other than pizza, you will love Pizza Ponte’s sandwiches. The bread, meats, and ingredients are super fresh and cut right in house. Try their Prosciutto (cheese & sausage), Pomodoro (tomato & mozzarella), or Mortazza (mortadella & provolone). There was also an excellent selection of cold Italian pasta, pre-made salad, chips, fruit, and more.

6 – The Other Best Part

Ok, so we say pizza is the star, but we must say we were incredibly impressed with their showcase of desserts. These aren’t just any desserts, either… these are true Italian desserts. This was the hardest part of the whole experience, as we wanted to try them all. There are well over ten dessert choices that are staring back at you through the display case. We went with a yummy Cannoli, which is what one must have in an Italian restaurant, right?! You can also get desserts like Tiramisu, Cheesecake, and Cannoli.

7 – Thirsty Yet?

This Italian hot spot wouldn’t be complete without some expressos and wine, of course! There are a plethora of espresso and coffee options available, including different flavors and sizes. This is an especially great place to head for that late-night espresso shot to wake you up! If you’re looking for an adult beverage, check out the Pinot Noir and Rosé among a few other beers and wine selections. You can also get bottled water, canned sodas, lemonade, and a few different drink options.

8 – The Price Is Right

If you want excellent Italian food but aren’t looking to pay Italian restaurant prices, you’ll want to check out Pizza Ponte. You can get a massive slice of pizza for right around $8 or a large sandwich for $9. You’ll leave feeling full while keeping your meal budget-friendly. The price is most definitely right.

We hope you, too, enjoy your slice (or two) of Italy, right from the heart of Disney Springs!
