Top 10 Date Spots at Walt Disney World

Whether you visit Disney World annually, every few years or you’re a passholder who’s there all the time, Disney is an ideal place to plan a date. Whether you like to keep it simple or go all out, Disney has the perfect date waiting for you. Here are the top ten date spots at Walt Disney World.

10 – The World Showcase at Night

Epcot’s World Showcase has everything you could want in a date. You can wander through the countries, share a pastry from Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie, have a class of wine from Italy or a beer from Germany, and have dinner at one of the restaurants in the World Showcase for a romantic meal. Monsieur Paul in the France Pavilion offers an intimate atmosphere and a great wine selection. Finish off the evening by watching Harmonious over the World Showcase Lagoon. Culture, great food, delicious drinks, and fireworks, what more could you ask for on a date?

9 – Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides

For guests who are looking for a more quiet and relaxing date at Disney, the horse-drawn carriage rides at Port Orleans are highly recommended. Carriages depart from Riverside and travel along the serene paths along the Sassagoula River, over to the French Quarter where they turn around and head back to Riverside. This 25-minute carriage ride is a significant date choice for romantics at heart. Carriage Rides are also available at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.

8 – Splitsville Luxury Lanes

Want to have some fun getting competitive with your date? Then bowling at Splitsville in Disney Springs is where you may want to head for your date night at Disney. This isn’t your regular bowling alley, this bowling alley serves sushi, has outdoor patio dining, dancing, and live music. You can have some fun bowling a few games, and follow it up with the loser buying dinner and drinks!

7 – The Boardwalk

Disney’s Boardwalk is an excellent destination for a date if you want to pack a lot of different things into one date, or you can pick just one location to stick to on the Boardwalk. There’s the Atlantic Dance Hall if you feel like tearing up the dance floor to music from the ’80s, 90’s, and today, or head over to Jellyroll’s if dueling pianos and sing-a-longs are more your style. Or you could simply stroll along the Boardwalk and enjoy some alone time.

6 – Miniature Golf

Disney has a few miniature golf courses that would make a great date, day or night! Right next to Blizzard Beach is the Winter Summerland Miniature Golf courses. Start with a game in one season, winter or summer, and if you find you don’t want the date to end, head on over to the second course and golf your way through both courses. Or there is the beautiful and charming Fantasia Miniature golf course in a more garden-like setting at the Swan Hotel. But beware, those broomsticks could attack at any moment!

5 – Wild Africa Trek

For adventure seekers and outdoor lovers, the Wild Africa Trek is a fantastic date in Animal Kingdom. This is not a totally private tour, but it is a VIP tour with a small group that takes you on a three-hour safari adventure. You’ll walk over crocodiles on rope bridges, learn about the wildlife and landscape from your guide, and feel more immersed in the savannah than you would even on the Kilimanjaro Safari. Lunch is also part of the tour, and a photographer will take photos throughout the tour, ensuring that you’ll have lasting memories from this Disney date.

4 – Disney Springs

Disney Springs comes alive at night, and it’s the perfect place for a date. There are so many amazing restaurants in all different cuisines with too many celebrity chefs to name. You can’t go wrong dining at Disney Springs. After dinner, enjoy the numerous live entertainers set up all around Disney Springs!

3 – Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise

If you want to make your date night that much more special, the Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise is the way to add some extra pixie dust to your evening. The party takes place on the Disney ferryboats for an amazing cruise on the Seven Seas Lagoon. You’ll enjoy special treats, an assortment of wines, and specialty drinks, all while the fireworks paint the sky over Magic Kingdom and the Seven Seas Lagoon.

2 – California Grill

If a romantic dinner is your idea of the perfect date, make a reservation at The California Grill for the ultimate dining experience. The California Grill is located on the 15th floor in the Contemporary Resort giving you a breathtaking, panoramic view of the lagoon and Cinderella’s Castle. The menu is seasonal but often features sushi, bison strip loin, and halibut. The California Grill is known for its spectacular view of fireworks at Magic Kingdom. If your dining reservation is scheduled prior to the fireworks, keep your receipt, and it will act as your ticket for re-entry at the time of the show. This is the perfect date destination if you want a quiet dinner but with the added bonus of the magic of Disney fireworks.
