7 Things We’re Excited About in the 2nd Half of 2025 for Walt Disney World

2025 might almost be half gone, but if you’re planning a Walt Disney World vacation later this year, there’s still a lot to be excited about! Keep reading to find out the seven things we’re excited about for Walt Disney World still coming in 2025.

1 – FREE 1-Day Water Park on the Day of Arrival for Resort Guests – 2025

A brand-new offering in 2025 for those checking in to any Disney Resorts Collection hotel is free admission to a Disney Water Park on their arrival day – included in their stay. With this water park benefit, you can splash into fun on the day you arrive at either Disney Water Park. Get ready to zip down thrilling water slides, relax on sandy beaches, float along a lazy river… and let your cares drift away. This benefit is exclusive to registered overnight Guests staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel with a check-in date from January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2025.

2 – Last Chance for Dinosaur – 2025

DinoLand, USA, is on its way out to make way for a new Tropical-Americas-themed land at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. However, construction will begin in phases. TriceraTop Spin, Fossil Fun Games, and Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures are now closed and gone forever. However, the Boneyard, Restaurantosaurus, and Trilo-Bites will remain open “through 2025.” While we’re not excited that DINOSAUR is going extinct, we’re very happy we have more time to “go get that dino.”

3 – “Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away” – Summer 2025

July 20, 2025 will shine brighter than ever with the debut of “Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, a breathtaking new nighttime parade at Magic Kingdom Park! Continuing Disney’s legacy of dazzling evening entertainment, this all-new spectacle invites guests to dream the night away with a perfect blend of nostalgia, innovation, and enchanting storytelling.

Featuring beloved characters from Walt Disney Animation Studios classics like “Peter Pan” and “Pinocchio” alongside modern favorites from “Encanto,” “Frozen,” and “Moana,” each float is a radiant celebration of Disney magic. Join the Blue Fairy from “Pinocchio” as she weaves the transformative magic of starlight throughout the parade to illuminate the stories in a stunning constellation of wonder, hope, and imagination.

4 – Test Track presented by General Motors – Late Summer 2025

With work on this reimagined experience already underway, guests are in for a thrilling ride when Test Track presented by General Motors makes its returning lap in late summer 2025 at EPCOT. Pushing the boundaries of innovation, Walt Disney Imagineering has been working with General Motors on a new storyline for this beloved attraction. Chad & Cindy Nykamp

After years of multiple Walt Disney World vacations, Cindy and Chad's dream of living in Orlando came true in 2010. After friends and family made them their go-to-people for Walt Disney World advice, Cindy and Chad launched DisneyLists.com in August 2015 to share their knowledge and love of Disney. Chad and Cindy have been Disney World Annual Passholders for years, DVC members, together have raced more than 70 runDisney races, and particularly love cruising on the Disney Cruise Line. Chad and Cindy also regularly represent DisneyLists.com at Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line media events. While attending these events, they get an insiders view of all the new things that have come to Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line. These experiences have helped them gain knowledge and expertise they happily pass on to their followers. They still can't believe how lucky they are to have such an amazing opportunity and will continue to share Disney with anyone who will listen!
