DinoLand, USA, is on its way out to make way for a new Tropical-Americas-themed land at Disney’s Animal Kingdom (see #11). However, construction will begin in phases. The first wave of closures occurred on January 13, 2025. TriceraTop Spin, Fossil Fun Games, and Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures are now permanently closed. The Boneyard will close on September 2, 2025. However, DINOSAUR Restaurantosaurus, and Trilo-Bites remain open. Also, Disney has confirmed that these will remain open “through 2025.” While we’re not excited that DINOSAUR is going extinct, we’re very happy we have one more year to “go get that dino.”

Topped with Mickey’s iconic Sorcerer Hat, the space will invite guests to explore different studio departments brought to life by Disney characters.
In addition to the new offerings, the exteriors of several existing buildings will be reimagined with design elements inspired by buildings found in Burbank.
