Disney GEO-82 Lounge Now Open with Iconic Sips, Bites and Views at EPCOT

Now open, Walt Disney World welcomes GEO-82, a new elevated 21 and up lounge inside the iconic EPCOT geodesic sphere, Spaceship Earth. GEO-82 pays homage to the year the beloved attraction opened – 1982 – and will invite guests to sip, savor and unwind while immersed in the legacy of the past, present, and future of EPCOT. 1 – Spaceship Earth Inspired Design
The first thing you’ll notice when you enter the lounge is the design elements that highlight and showcase Spaceship Earth. There are nods and artwork that showcase Spaceship Earth that we really enjoyed. There are also plenty of different seating options. Finally, we loved the large windows at the back of the lounge adding a lot of natural light during the day and offering amazing views of World Celebration Gardens.

2 – Adult Exclusive Lounge
It’s important to note that GEO-82 is the first adult-exclusive lounge in Walt Disney World. Only adults aged 21 and older are allowed in the lounge. This makes it a great spot for date nights, anniversaries, and more where adults want a more sophisticated experience without children around.
3 – Sophisticated Sips
GEO-82’s beverage program presents a polished selection of cocktails crafted with global inspiration and unique culinary techniques. Guests can enjoy creations like the Brown Butter Old Fashioned – made with Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Kentucky Straight Bourbon, brown butter, maple, and Mexican chocolate bitters – and the dazzling Clarified New York Sour, with Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style Bourbon, Lustau Amontillado Sherry, yuzu, lemon, and a striking red wine float.
An exclusive Disney Select Bourbon Flight, curated specifically for GEO-82, adds a connoisseur-level experience bourbon aficionados will appreciate. The full beverage menu features a wide range of inventive cocktails, including zero-proof cocktails, premium wines and spirits, and a classic selection of beers.

4 – Culinary Creations
Small plates at GEO-82 highlight international flavors and thoughtful accompaniments. Highlights include the Jumbo Lump Crab Gâteau and Truffled Ahi Tuna, each crafted to complement the cocktail menu and deliver a luxurious tasting experience.

5 – GEO-82 Fireworks Experience
As part of the Enchanting Extras Collection, guests can book the GEO-82 Fireworks Experience – a premium viewing opportunity for “Luminous The Symphony of Us” from select tables. The experience includes a tasting tower of savory and sweet bites, Champagne poured tableside, and cocktails exclusive to the event. This experience is quite pricey at $179 per person plus tax and gratuity.
6 – Take Home the Experience
Guests can commemorate their visit with beautifully designed drinkware inspired by GEO-82. These keepsakes will be available for guests with reservations to purchase via mobile order.

Reservations are required to experience GEO-82 and can be made through the MyDisneyExperience app, or by clicking here. Guests need both valid park admission and park reservations for EPCOT on the same date to experience.

by Chad and Cindy Nykamp
World Celebration Gardens, including the popular Dreamers Point, is a gorgeous spot to sit, relax, and enjoy the views of Spaceship Earth that you don’t want to miss. Learn more about this spot below.
1 – World Celebration Gardens
In the middle of EPCOT, you’ll now find World Celebration Gardens. This area features beautiful greenspaces for guests to explore. In the center, there is a large planter based on the five rings of the iconic EPCOT logo.
The gardens feature ample seating and shade. Guests are invited to connect with one another and the nature around them in this lush new area. When we visited, we found lots of different kinds of seating areas, from tables and chairs, benches, and Adirondack-type chairs. This area will be a fantastic spot to take a rest or eat a meal.
The area also includes many different charging stations where guests can charge their devices while sitting there.
2 – Dreamers Point
Found within World Celebration Gardens is Dreamers Point, where guests can visit the new “Walt the Dreamer” statue. The statue shows Walt later in his life when he was dreaming up the initial concepts for the park and the overall Florida Project. His relaxed and reflective demeanor was important to the design of this statue, a nod to the pure optimism he felt for the future and the magic of possibility that was the basis for the dream he never saw come to life.

Below, you can see the entire area. Guests can sit on either side of Walt for a special photo. So far, we’ve seen a Disney PhotoPass photographer posted there regularly.
As you can see from the photos, guests will need to step up to sit next to Walt. One criticism we’ve heard is that guests who cannot transfer from a mobility device will have trouble getting close to Walt. However, as seen below, there is a spot to the left of Walt where a wheelchair could be backed in for a photo.
We’ve visited both during the day and at night. Do note that the lightning is quite blinding in the evening, and you’ll need to be extra careful stepping down after your photo.
Overall, we’re very pleased with the statue. We’ve seen some really tender moments from guests. We’ve seen children hug Walt and some adults getting a bit teary. Like Roy Disney’s statue with Minnie at Magic Kingdom, the ability to sit next to Walt and have some interaction makes the experience more meaningful.
3 – New Character Greeting Spaces
Also, there are a few new character greeting spaces in the new gardens. We’ve seen Pluto and Daisy greeting guests. Check the My Disney Experience app for greeting times.

4 – Communicore Plaza
The last section is Communicore Plaza, which opened in early July 2024. Communicore Hall is a place to meet Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, and Communicore Plaza is the new home for festivals.
World Celebration Gardens is a fantastic new addition to EPCOT. The beautiful gardens offer guests a great place to rest and meet. Guests will also not want to miss the Walt the Dreamer statue. Be sure to check out the gardens on your next visit to EPCOT.
