NEWS: Exciting New Dining Option Coming to Disney Springs

Shopping may be the activity most people think of when it comes to Disney Springs at Walt Disney World, but it really shines when it comes to dining. Disney Springs is home to so many fantastic dining options, is it even possible to make the dining line up better? Turns out the answer is yes.

An exciting new dining concept, Six Ravens, is coming this summer to Disney Springs from the creators of Gideon’s Bakehouse. Gideon’s Bakehouse, an Orlando based bakery that specializes in cookies so enormous they weigh in at almost a pound each, is the most popular food location at Disney Springs. It’s so popular that the bakery uses a virtual queue with wait times often measuring several hours or more.

Here are more details from cast member Aysa Watkins:

New at Disney Springs at The Landing this summer, a little raven shared some exciting details about new flavors to feast on. Gideon’s Bakehouse, the fan‑favorite local bakery at Disney Springs, is introducing a new concept: Six Ravens.

Specializing in grab-and-go hand pies, their signature creation, known as Coffyns, is a house‑made yeast‑roll stuffed with savory fillings that draw inspiration from Medieval European pastry cases. The original “coffyns” were designed to preserve hearty meals for long pilgrimages, and at Disney Springs, they’ll be the perfect on-the-go offering.

Pair the Coffyns with smashed potatoes and dips like sweet heat and homemade honey mustard. Six Ravens will also have local beers crafted in partnership with Orlando favorites like Sideward Brewing and The Ravenous Pig.

From the Disney World website:

Swing by Six Ravens to pick up craveable hand pies known as “Coffyns”—a tasty creation made in collaboration with some of Central Florida’s best chefs and restaurants. A Coffyn features flavorful sandwich ingredients, fully encased in a house-made yeast roll.

Choose from a variety of Coffyns—as well as potato-based sides served with delish dips, like sweet heat and honey mustard. Plus, indulge in delightful dessert tarts.

Fun Facts:

Six Ravens pays homage to medieval history and lore through its name and its signature dish:

    • The nameSix Ravens is a nod to the Tower of London—and a legend of the resident ravens who still guard the tower to this day!
    • A beloved pastry in medieval Europe, the Coffynremained popular through the English Tudor period (early 1600s).

We can’t wait to try everything Six Ravens has to offer. If it’s half as good as Gideon’s Bakehouse we see a lot of Coffyns in our future!

With a family member diagnosed with Celiac, finding delicious gluten-free options is hard to do. So, when we discovered Erin McKenna’s Bakery at Disney Springs, our taste buds rejoiced! The best part – is even those of us that don’t have to eat gluten-free still find the treats that come out of Erin McKenna’s to be absolutely delicious.
