Are the 2-Credit Meals on the Disney Dining Plan Worth It?

3 – Mickey’s Backyard BBQ

Scoot on down to this covered, open-air pavilion for a music-filled hoedown with some favorite Disney Characters for Mickey’s Backyard BBQ at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground and Resort. Feast on an all-you-care-to-enjoy BBQ spread to cowboy rope tricks and the rootin’ tootin’ tunes of a live country-western band. Then mosey on over to the dance floor for line dancing led by Disney Friends!  This neighborly, all-you-care-to-enjoy BBQ picnic features mouth-watering country favorites. Feast on barbeque ribs, smoked chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs with all the trimmings, corn on the cob, macaroni and cheese and more. Satisfy your thirst with lemonade, fruit punch and soft drinks, plus complimentary wine and beer for Guests 21 years of age and up (proper ID required).

Verdict: Worth It – Adult tickets range between $51-$72 depending on which category you choose. Since both categories are 2 credits, you are better off selecting the category 1 seats. The earlier you make your reservation, the better availability you will have. While the food at the BBQ is average at best, what you are really paying for here is the entertainment and a chance to hang out with Mickey and Minnie. (Photo Credit: Disney

About Ryan Miller

Ryan loves all things Disney: from the smallest details to the biggest surprises and all of the magic in between. He loves the fireworks of Wishes, the thrill of Tower of Terror and of course, the dining at Disney Restaurants. As of yet, however, he has been unable to replicate his favourite dishes and snacks at home. In between trips, you can usually find him reading about the history of the parks and attractions when he’s not at work for his local public library in Burlington Ontario. Ryan’s favourite Disney moment was proposing in front of Cinderella’s Castle to his (now) fiancée, Lauren.
