BREAKING NEWS: Disney Extends Coronavirus Closure

Disney has announced that Walt Disney World, the resorts, and Disney Springs will extend the current closures in line with local, state and federal guidance and in an abundance of caution. With the threat of the spread of COVID-19, Walt Disney World, Resorts, Disney Springs, other Disney Parks have been closed in the best interest of guests and Cast Members. Catch the official announcement below.

Here is the official announcement from Disney Parks News:

Both Walt Disney World and Disneyland will be closed “until further notice,” and hourly parks and resorts cast members will be paid through April 18.

This announcement comes after Orange County and Osceola County ordered all county residents to shelter in place to stop the spread of the coronavirus through at least April 9. Most of the Walt Disney World Resort is in Orange County, although some of the resort is in Osceola County. Please note, this does not mean Disney World will reopen April 9.
