TRAVEL LOG: Day 4 – Part 2 of Our Pixar Day at Sea Cruise on the Disney Fantasy

On the fourth day of our Pixar Day at Sea cruise on the Disney Fantasy in February 2026, we enjoyed our first normal day at sea (our first sea day was our Pixar day). These sea days allow guests to explore and enjoy what the ship has to offer. For many, including us, sea days mean a chance to enjoy the activities on the upper decks. Since there’s so much to cover, we’re splitting this into two parts. Part 1 covered how we spent most of our day on the ship. In part 2, we’ll cover the second half of the day including Pirate Night! Learn more below.

1 – Relaxation and Down Time

It was Day 4, and we’d enjoyed so much so far on the cruise, including including running around all day on Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, Disney’s Cruise Lines private island. After lunch we could tell we needed an afternoon to relax and get some rest. Thankfully there are plenty of options on the Disney Fantasy to do just that. I will focus on adults’ great options for relaxation during their cruise.

2 – Afternoon Relaxation at Quiet Cove Pool

One location we found ourselves heading to the most is the Quiet Cove Pool on Deck 11. Quiet Cove Pool, a multi-level pool with varying depths from a six-inch deep sunbathing pool to a four-foot plunge pool, features the ultimate “watering hole”: Cove Bar is a part of the pool. The pool offers some great views of the ocean as well. There are a variety of chairs for guests to sit in and relax in a quieter atmosphere.

Also located in the adults-only area on Deck 11 is Cove Café. With a warm, comfortable design, Cove Café is a peaceful retreat where adults can sit back, breathe in the aroma of freshly brewed java, sip a gourmet coffee, read a magazine or book, watch the national news or use a WiFi-enabled device to surf the Internet. While the drinks at this location are an extra fee, the café also offers delicious croissants and pastries during the day that you can get for no extra charge. I’ll admit that the croissants were absolutely delicious, and I may have had one every day! It was nice to have a snack option within the Quiet Cove area, though the Eye Scream Ice Cream is not far, making it a perfect location for us!

3 – Senses

If you’re looking for the ultimate relaxation location, then you’ll want to check out Senses Spa & Salon. At Senses, adults ages 18 and older can indulge in spa treatments, massages, manicures, pedicures, and a rainforest-themed aromatherapy steam room and sauna. Senses Spa & Salon provides tranquility, pampering, and relaxation in an ocean-view environment that spans two decks and more than 16,000 square feet.

Here are some of the offerings:

  • 17 private treatment rooms – offering a menu of luxurious spa treatments and services such as massages, body wraps and facials.
  • Rainforest – offering the benefits of steam, heat and hydrotherapy combined with the power of aromatherapy to relax the mind and body. Specialized areas include a steam bath, steam room, tiled sauna and aromatic showers evoking everything from a waterfall to tropical rain to a refreshing mist. Guests can relish Rainforest’s calming ocean views while reclining in heated mosaic tile relaxation chairs, or lounge outside in a whirlpool hot tub on the private teak deck.
  • Two lavish couple’s spa villas – for the ultimate indulgence, the villas feature an indoor spa treatment suite connected to a private outdoor verandah with personal whirlpool hot tub, shower and a plush, double lounge chair.
  • Ocean-view gym – a nearly 2,500-square-foot gym with state-of-the-art exercise equipment and complimentary group classes such as yoga, Pilates, aerobics, stretching and spinning.

The Rainforest Room can be booked on the day you’d like to visit, while other spa treatments, such as massages, should be booked before your cruise or when you get on the ship. Reservations for treatments may be limited and will sell out, so the sooner you book, the better.

4 – Enchanted Garden

For dinner, we enjoyed our time at Enchanted Garden, one of the other rotational dining venues on the Disney Fantasy. Enchanted Garden is a whimsical, casual restaurant inspired by the gardens of Versailles that features a dining environment that transforms from day to night.

Enchanted Garden emulates an elegant conservatory in the rolling hills of France. There are white trellises, spring-green arches and original artwork depicting lush landscapes. Custom glass “flower” light fixtures are above. Light posts line the restaurant’s center promenade. A terrace fountain with cascading water rises seven feet tall, with a fanciful cherub Mickey Mouse statue at its pinnacle.

At breakfast and lunch, the restaurant is bright with the light of a blue-sky day. In the evening, the illuminated ceiling transitions into a nighttime constellation of twinkling stars. The light-fixture flowers “bloom” and become infused with color, wall sconces open to become beautiful folding fans and the centerpiece fountain is basked in shimmering light.

Since it’s Pirate Night, we were treated to a special pirate inspired menu. As always, dinner was delicious.

5 – Pirate Night

Pirate Night is one of the highlights for many on a Disney Cruise Line cruise. This special evening includes character meet and greets in pirate gear, two deck parties, and fireworks at sea. Many guests dress up to join in the fun. You’ll see a range of outfits, from full-on costumes to simple pirate-themed t-shirts. During the afternoon, you’ll find a bandana in your room for everyone in your party, so if you forgot to pack something, you could at least wear that. In the evening, children will enjoy pirate-themed activities in the Kid’s Clubs, such as crafts, games, scavenger hunts, and more.

6 – Mickey’s Pirates In the Caribbean Deck Party

At 7:30 pm, Mickey’s Pirates In the Caribbean Deck Party took place. This fun, family-friendly interactive show teaches guests how to become part of Mickey’s Crew. When Captain Hook and Mr. Smee show up to claim the ship, Mickey challenges Captain Hook. Because guests have been training, Mickey is pretty confident that he will win. The show is full of energy and a lot of fun. Kids will love it. It’s also a great way to see the characters in their pirate gear if you missed the character meet-and-greets.

Tip: As with all deck parties, we suggest arriving early to get a good viewing spot for the show. Even arriving 10-15 minutes early should give you a decent viewing location.

7 – Pirates in the Caribbean &, Buccaneer Blast Fireworks

Later in the evening, we enjoyed a short show, “Pirates in the Caribbean,” Captain Jack Sparrow makes an appearance looking for a new crew. The show is different than what we saw a few years ago on the Disney Dream and is more interactive, with guests singing pirate songs. A few guests are chosen to be on stage for some fun antics. The show leads right into fireworks at sea called Buccaneer Blast! These fireworks were an industry first and are classic Disney Cruise Line. These are a lot of fun, and you don’t want to miss them.

8 – Club Pirate Dance Party

If you have a little bit of energy left at the end of the day you’ll want to stick around after the fireworks for Club Pirate, and high energy dance party hosted on the pool deck. The party lasted for about an hour and was a complete blast. It was a great way to close out the day, but by the end we we’re definitely ready for bed!

Chad Nykamp

Husband, father and lover of all things Disney. Like every kid, I loved Disney and the couple trips I took to Disney World in my early years are good memories. But my obsession began in 2004 when we made our first family visit. It's hard to believe that we almost cancelled the trip because it seemed like a lot of work with 3 very little kids. We were hooked by the end of the first day. By day 3 we were planning our next trip back. By day 5 we were doing the math on DVC. And by the end of the vacation everyone was crying the blues that we had to leave. Since then, Disney World has become our favorite vacation destination, a hobby and now a home. We love the detail of the story telling and the memories of time spent with friends and family.
