DISNEY NEWS ROUNDUP: Frozen Reopening Date & Sneak Peek; New AP Magnet & Special Offer; Another New Menu in Animal Kingdom; AWESOME New Sipper & More

Disney World remains in the grip of a record-breaking cold spell, but the news keeps coming. This week saw the end of an era with the closure of DINOSAUR in Animal Kingdom, but not before a special guest made an appearance. We got a reopening date for Frozen Ever After, and a sneak peek at the changes made to the attraction. There’s a new special offer available for annual passes, and a new magnet available for annual passholders. There’s another new menu at an Animal Kingdom food location, and more refurbishment news.

All this and more below in this week’s Disney news roundup.

1 – Reopening Date Announced with Sneak Peek at Changes for Frozen Ever After

Frozen Ever After in the Norway pavilion at EPCOT closed last month for a short refurbishment. Now, we have an official reopening date along with a sneak peek at the changes imagineers made to improve the attraction.

2 – New Annual Passholder Magnet Now Available

It’s a small thing, but one of the benefits we love as annual passholders are the passholder magnets. We’ve amassed quite a collection over the years. In fact, we may need a second refrigerator soon. This week, Disney release a new passholder magnet and we love it!

3 – Terra Treats in Animal Kingdom Gets New Menu

Terra Treats, one of many small food stands and kiosks located throughout Animal Kingdom has a new menu. Terra Treats will now offer hand-scooped ice cream. Additionally, the location offers several specialty desserts including a Cookie Dough Ice Cream Sandwich, a Carrot Cake Sundae, and Ice Cream Floats made with your choice of fountain soda.

4 – Awesome New Sipper Available at Hollywood Studios

The little green aliens from Toy Story may be a bunch of zealots, but they sure are cute. Guests can now purchase a light-up little green alien sipper at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The sippers, previously only available at Hong Kong Disneyland, can be purchases at Woody’s Lunch Box in Toy Story Land for $19.95.

5 – DINOSAUR in Animal Kingdom Gets Visit from Special Guest on Final Day of Operation

DINOSAUR has now closed to make way for the upcoming Tropical Americas Land. Sunday, February 1, 2026, was the final day of operation for park guests with wait times exceeding 4 hours for one last chance to get that dino. However, on February 2, 2026, DINOSAUR was open for cast members to get one last ride in. Cast members also got a special surprise visit from actor Wallace Langham who plays Dr. Seeker in the DINOSAUR pre-show film. Sadly, Wallace Langham was unable to join cast members on the ride due to an “unauthorized” field trip he took 28 years ago, but what a great send off for a fantastic attraction.

6 – Disney Releases Annual Pass Special Offer for Florida Residents

If you’re a Florida resident and you’ve been thinking about getting an annual pass (which we highly recommend), now it a good time to do it. For a limited time, Florida residents can purchase one of the four available annual passes with half off the standard down payment. The downpayment has been cut to just $99 with the remaining cost of the pass spread over 12 interest free payments.

During this time, both the film Impressions de France and the Beauty and the Beast Sing Along will be closed. At this time a reopening date has not been announced.
