“I think Disney fans will enjoy all the little nods to the original animated film,” says author Serena Valentino. “I love really getting to know these characters and exploring why they did the evil things they did. I love dreaming up the backstories of characters I have loved since I was young and finding ways to make them feel more real and relatable.”

This dark tale is the first book in Serena Valentino’s successful Villains series which gives Young Adult readers and above more insight into how evil is made, not born. For a limited time, a free download (available only in the US) will be available from April 20 through April 26, via Disney Books.

RELATED ARTICLE: Top 15 Attractions That Are Best for All Ages At Disney World

by Mike and Jamie Sylvester

How old are you? Better yet – how old do you FEEL when you set foot in Walt Disney World? As Walt Disney is quoted saying, “Tomorrow can be a wonderful age.” And he was so right! So, whether someone is still in their mother’s womb or climbing into the three digits, trust that there is always something for you at Walt Disney World! Check out these top 15 attractions that are excellent, no matter what age.

15 – Finding Nemo The Musical

Everyone knows and loves the beloved Nemo, forgetful blue friend Dory, and the responsible Marlin. All ages will enjoy this Broadway-style musical as the film, Finding Nemo is reenacted on stage. The vibrant colored props, incredible music, and even bubbles that drop from the ceiling are sure to keep the attention of all ages during this memorable experience.

14 – Living with the Land

In the shadow of the very popular Soarin’ attraction at Epcot sits a quiet boat ride called Living with the Land. Take a ride through the different climates to watch how humans, animals, and vegetation “live with the land.” It’s interesting enough for kids yet informative for adults! The best part is riding through the greenhouse to see where produce and even fish come from for the meals that are severed at numerous restaurants around Epcot.

13 – Spaceship Earth

Stay in Epcot with us as we head over to the “Epcot Ball” – which is actually called Spaceship Earth. This towering icon isn’t just for looks but holds a slow-moving attraction traveling through the stages of communication. From the beginning of history, through the development of computers, communication has developed tremendously. The several animatronics and interesting narration is sure to keep riders of all ages happy.

12 – Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover

Magic Kingdom is loaded with attractions ideal for all ages! The first to hit this list is a favorite of ours. Take a seat either forwards or backward and cruise along to see sights around Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland. This is a perfect one to do mid-day to rest the feet as the line typically isn’t too long. It’s also fun to ride during fireworks as you can catch glimpses of the bursts throughout the ride. The best part is perhaps the experience of riding through Space Mountain!

11 – Peter Pan’s Flight

Feel like you are truly inside the beloved film, Peter Pan, when you take a ride on a Pixie Dust ship over London and Neverland. As quickly as this attraction starts, it seems to end – so plan accordingly with a FastPass if at all possible. Kids absolutely love this one, and us adults can’t get enough of the intricate details to spot along the way! No FastPass? Be sure to download the Play Disney Parks Mobile App as this queue has some fun, interactive gaming to keep your time occupied.

10 – The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore, and all the Hundred Acre Wood characters are out and about throughout this cute and entertaining attraction. Yet another one in Magic Kingdom, get ready to ride along in a honeypot and be prepared to bounce like Tigger! This has always been a great one for the “littles” in the family, but we too must admit we can’t help but smile as we enjoy the ride.

9 – Festival of the Lion King

Africa has come to Florida at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Guests visiting will have a chance to watch the Festival of the Lion King, which features some of the most excellent Lion King music, characters, acrobats, and unbelievable performers. This one ranks up there with Broadway-style musicals and is an absolute must-do on our Walt Disney World list. It doesn’t matter what age you are – the lights, colors, and performers are captivating most spectacular way!

8 – Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin

Have no fear – Buzz Lightyear is here and ready to fight the evil Emperor Zurg! But wait – he needs your help! Magic Kingdom Space Cadets are welcome to shoot targets for points. Not only are you in charge of which target you shoot, but you can also move your vehicle as you choose. Whether you have a competitive side or note, this one is entertaining and interactive. The reason we think it’s especially great for all ages is that while it does move around, it is controlled by you. So, if you have a little lap child, you don’t have to worry about going too fast, unlike another favorite interactive attraction we love – Toy Story Mania. While both of these are a blast, we find Buzz Lightyear the perfect attraction for ALL ages as it doesn’t provide as much quick-shifting or jerking as you’ll find on Toy Story Mania.

7 – The Seas with Nemo and Friends

We listed Finding Nemo the Musical above, but The Seas with Nemo and Friends is an entirely different attraction located at Epcot. Your clamshell awaits as you take a slow ride through the “big blue world.” Be on the lookout for the orange clownfish we all know as Nemo! Once you exit the ride, enjoy seeing a wide variety of fish and aquatic life in Epcot’s massive aquarium. This is an absolutely perfect ride and experience for ALL ages!

6 – Frozen Ever After

Even if you are somewhat sick of the Frozen film songs, you must admit you still have a fond place in your heart for the popular Frozen sisters, Queen Elsa, and Princess Anna… not to mention their cute entourage – Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven! This boat ride moves at a brisk pace on certain occasions, but that doesn’t mean the young and old alike won’t enjoy it. The animatronics on Frozen Ever After are excellent, the music is fantastic, and the ride (despite the long wait times) is well worth it. Head on over to Epcot’s Norway for this enchanted Frozen experience.

5 – Navi River Journey

Pandora – The World of Avatar in Animal Kingdom is a land like no other. Whatever age you may be, chances are you’ll walk around with your jaw-dropping at all the beautiful sights this land has to offer – especially with all the bioluminescent lighting to be seen at night. Well, Navi River Journey is a perfect attraction to experience this lighting no matter what time of day it is. Travel downriver to see and hear Pandora in all its’ beauty. While we prefer Avatar Flight of Passage out of Pandora’s two attractions, Navi fits all ages wonderfully.

4 – Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid

Here we are, back at Magic Kingdom again and for a good reason! This is yet another clamshell ride that is not to be missed by any ages. Go “under the sea” to see Princess Ariel’s world as the Little Mermaid up close and personal. You’ll encounter Ariel’s friends like Sebastian and Flounder – but watch out because Ursula is just around the corner! The amount of animatronics and the great detail that went into each one of them is outstanding. Get ready to sing along no matter what age you may be!

3 – “it’s a small world”

The music alone on this attraction will have every guest singing along with it before the ride is over! Young children are memorized by all the colors and dolls. Adults look for details and tend to enjoy the break (and air-conditioning!) while floating along. This one will forever be a Magic Kingdom family favorite – despite walking away with a song suck in your head for the rest of the day.

2 – Kilimanjaro Safaris

Have you ever taken an African safari? While some of you can say yes, many of us haven’t had the opportunity just yet. Thankfully – Disney’s Animal Kingdom has an attraction, unlike any other, we’ve ever experienced. Guests climb aboard a massive vehicle and head out to explore the savanna and the many real-life animals that call it home. Get up close and personal with giraffes, hippos, alligators, and so much more. This attraction truly is like no other. Ride it again and again and experience a new animal encounter with each trip. The driver is your guide and is extremely knowledgeable of all the animals and planet life you’ll spot along your wild adventure!

1 – Dumbo the Flying Elephant

Drop by Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom for our number one pick… the timeless attraction that is a rite of passage for anyone visiting Walt Disney World, whether it be the first visit or the 100th. There is something about adorning a set of Mickey ears and taking flight as Dumbo soars along! From a few months old to a 102 – this is the absolute perfect attraction for all ages to experience the MAGIC Walt Disney World has to offer.
